The garden is the part of a new place that looks fine on moving day and quietly gets away on you by the second month. Grass grows faster than the boxes empty.

We put you with a local gardener who does this every week: mowing, edges, weeding, beds tidied, clippings taken away. Tell us roughly what is there and how often you want somebody, and you get a price before anyone turns up.

Once to bring it back under control, or a standing round every week, fortnight or month. Same person each time, because they already know where the tap is.
